لتطبيق تصميم إبداعي يحقق هدف التصميم لابد أن يكون مستندًا على إفراد هندسي محسوب المقاسات، وأن تراعي الدقة العالية في تحديد كل الأبعاد في الشكل بما يتوافق مع المنتج المراد تغليفه، وحساب المساحات التي يتم طيها لدعم الهيكل. فبعد وضع الأفكار إبداعي من خلال الرسوم الأولية، يتم تصميم إفراده بالرسم الهندسي، حتى يكون جاهزًا لمرحلة التصنيع. وفيما يأتي يتم عرض أمثلة لأشكال هياكل مبتكرة قائمة على إفراد مدروس في رسمها الهندسي.
